The Aging Society
Let's Make Aging Better--For Everyone!

Supporting You As You Support Them!
The Heart Of The Aging Society
Walking This Journey Together
At The Aging Society, every family’s journey matters. I created this space to offer trusted guidance, heartfelt support, and the tools you need to navigate aging with confidence and compassion. Whether you’re just beginning to explore senior care options or facing difficult decisions for a loved one, you’re not alone. I’m honored to walk alongside you and to help make aging better, for everyone.
The Heart Behind The Aging Society
I’m Susan Myers, a senior living expert, certified End of Life Doula, licensed realtor, author, and speaker. For over 15 years, I’ve guided thousands of families through the emotional and practical complexities of elder care. From understanding senior living options to navigating major life transitions, I’ve dedicated my career and my heart to helping families find clarity, peace of mind, and compassionate solutions during one of life’s most delicate seasons.
Professionally, I’ve had the privilege of working with leading senior living communities and organizations, including A Place for Mom, one of the nation’s largest elder care advisory services. But my work isn’t just professional, it’s deeply personal. I’ve used the very tools, frameworks, and insights I now share to help my own parents make difficult decisions about their care. That true experience is what fuels my empathy, deepens my understanding, and drives my mission to ensure no family has to face these moments unprepared or alone.
A Holistic Perspective on Aging and Care
As a certified End of Life Doula, I offer support through one of the most vulnerable stages of life with presence, compassion, and dignity. As a licensed realtor, I understand the logistical side of transitions: downsizing, selling the family home, or relocating for care. These qualifications allow me to approach aging from every angle practical, emotional, and deeply human.
Through The Aging Society, I’ve built a resource hub for adult children who are navigating senior care with guides, quizzes, tools, and heartfelt writing that empowers them to make thoughtful, informed decisions. I’m also the author of The Art of Aging: Embracing Every Chapter of Life, a book that reframes aging not as decline, but as a chapter rich with meaning and opportunity.
As a speaker, I’m known for delivering grounded, relatable talks that help families face tough conversations with less conflict and more confidence. My signature talk, “Senior Care & Family Conflict: Finding Common Ground,” offers practical tools for creating unity when families feel divided.
Meet "The Real Me"
Beyond my work, I am most proud of being a mom to my son, Aiden. He reminds me daily of the importance of family, love, and unwavering support values that are deeply woven into everything I do. Family is at the core of my work, and every family I assist receives the same level of care and respect I would want for my own loved ones.
Through The Aging Society, your family becomes part of ours. I am honored to walk this journey with you, providing the tools, compassion, and trusted support you deserve every step of the way.
Aging is a journey for your loved ones, and for you.
It’s filled with important decisions, emotional moments, and the desire to do what’s best for those who once cared for you.
Whether you’re planning ahead or navigating a sudden change, the path can feel overwhelming but you don’t have to walk it alone.
At The Aging Society, we provide trusted senior care resources, expert guidance, and compassionate support for adult children caring for aging parents.

From understanding senior living options to creating a long-term care plan, we’re here to give you clarity, confidence, and peace of mind every step of the way.
